We are noticing an increase in the number of patients who are not turning up for appointments and do not inform us. We understand there are times when you must miss an appointment due to an emergency.

However, when patients do not call to cancel their appointments they may be preventing another patient from getting much needed care. Our appointments are in very short supply, so it is unfair for other patients if patients do not show up for their appointments and do not contact us.

Because of this, we are introducing a new policy whereby if you cannot make an appointment, you must contact us to cancel it, preferably at least a day ahead. Failure to cancel the appointment within 1 hour prior to the appointment may incur a fee of $15. This policy extends to all patients, including consults that would have been free e.g. children under 14 years.
