Patient Experience Surveys

What is the Patient Experience Survey?
The New Zealand Patient Experience Survey is designed to assist the health sector in improving the quality of health care services in New Zealand by enabling patients to provide feedback that can be used to monitor and improve the quality of health services. It has been run by the New Zealand Health Safety and Quality Commission (the Commission) since 2014.
The feedback provided by patients through these surveys supports improvement to quality and safety by allowing us to understand how well we are meeting patient needs and where we can improve. The survey is sent every 3 months to patients aged 15 years and older who had a consultation or other encounter with us during the survey period.
Each eligible patient receives an email inviting you to participate in the online survey. Some may also receive an invitation by text message. Participation is optional.  Responses are confidential.
