Flu Vaccines Available

With winter around the corner, it is time to get ready for the increase in colds and flu. Flu vaccination is encouraged to help protect you from getting the flu or experiencing severe symptoms. Flu vaccines are available to everyone over 6 months of age. The Flu Vaccine we have available this year is Influvac Tetra.

If you are eligible for a FREE flu vaccine (see criteria below), this is funded from 1 April, 2026 onwards until December 2026.

The flu vaccine costs $35 if you are not eligible for a free one.

Flu vaccine clinics will run during normal opening hours in the first 2 weeks of April, from 1-2 and 6-10 April (we are closed during Easter).
Appointments can be made either by:
1: MyIndici patient portal (under Nurse -> Flu vaccine CLINIC).
2: Phone – 03 348 8989

Appointments for flu vaccinations before 1st April or after 10th April onwards can be made by phoning reception.

Only come in for a flu vaccine if you are well i.e. you must have no Covid or Flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever and diarrhoea.

If you have already had your flu vaccine this year, please let us know so we can update our records.

Alternative Unfunded Flu Vaccine for over 50 years

People over 50 years are at higher risk of health complications and hospitalisation if they catch the flu. This year we have an alternative UNFUNDED flu vaccine available for those over 50 years.

FLUAD is approved for use in adults aged 65 years and over. FLUAD contains an advanced adjuvant called MF59 to stimulate a stronger defense against the the flu in older people with weaker immune systems. The cost of this vaccine is $50.
