Continuous Quality Improvement

At Doctors on Riccarton, we are committed to providing safe, high-quality, and equitable healthcare. We regularly review our services, listen to feedback, and make improvements that help us better meet the needs of our patients and whānau.
Some of Our 2026 Improvement Activities
✅ Better Diabetes Care
We reviewed patients with raised HbA1c results to ensure diagnoses, recalls, and follow-up plans were up to date. We have also made available patient information in the most commonly spoken languages within our patient population to improve understanding and access to care.
✅ Hepatitis B Monitoring
We completed a review of patients with Hepatitis B to ensure appropriate recall systems are in place for ongoing care.
✅ Child Protection Training
We are strengthening staff training to ensure our team remains up to date with safeguarding and child protection requirements.
✅ Supporting Māori Health Equity
We continue to improve our smoking cessation follow-up processes for Māori patients to support better health outcomes
✅ Improving Patient Safety
Additional training and supervision processes have been introduced for student nurses involved in vaccine preparation and administration.
Your Feedback Matters
Many of our improvement activities begin with feedback from patients, staff, and the wider community. We welcome your suggestions and ideas on how we can continue to improve our services.
Ngā mihi – thank you for helping us provide better care for our community.
