Being future focused, we strongly believe in encouraging new doctors and nurses to choose General Practice as a career specialty to ensure future generations of patients will always have a family doctor available to them.

New GPs will receive mentoring to ensure they develop their competencies. It is our aim to have all our doctors achieve their GP fellowship.

We have senior nurses who are preceptors for nursing students. We regularly host final year students at Doctors on Riccarton.

For patients, rest assured that the quality of your care is not compromised. Having trainees means that our experienced staff members need to be continually updating their own knowledge and skills.
